Hello friends.
We are thinking of you as we move into 2021. Given the current state of group gatherings and regulations, we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone the 2021 Mayor’s Gala for the Arts. We will keep you posted on our plans as they progress.

In the meantime, please check out the impressive nomination list of our community's business and arts leaders whom we will celebrate appropriately when the time is right. You can read all about them here.
We may not be able to come together as we usually do this month, but we encourage you to continue to support your arts organizations during this time.

The Kamloops Art Gallery remains open and is following strict COVID protocols. New exhibitions are set to open later this month and we welcome you to stop by. Learn more at kag.bc.ca.
The Kamloops Symphony has ventured online with their monthly productions, their next featuring a wild mix of Canadian compositions, and traditional folk tunes in Songs & Dances.
Like the KSO, the Western Canada Theatre has shifted to virtual programming, which can be enjoyed on their website at wctlive.ca. Stay tuned for an online celebration of love for Valentine's Day, and for the return of the #YKAStrong series of local performers at the Pavilion Theatre later this spring.
With all our organizations, we encourage you to follow us via social media to remain connected and inspired. We have all seen how the arts have provided comfort, solace, and opportunities to continue to learn and grow during this time.
From all of us at the KAG, KSO, and WCT, our staff, volunteers and Board members, we wish you a Happy New Year and a much more art-filled 2021!
With gratitude,
The Mayor’s Gala for the Arts Planning Committee
